How To Get Tomorrowland Tickets Without Selling Your Kidney

Table of Contents

Let’s be brutally honest here: Getting Tomorrowland tickets is harder than getting your crush to text you back, finding a affordable apartment in a major city and convincing yourself that your bank account is healthy- all combined!

But here’s the good news: It IS possible. I’ve been to Tomorrowland 4 times (humble brag) and I’ve cracked the code (or at least figured out multiple ways to game the system). Each time was a strategic operation that involved luck, timing, international friendships, and in one case, meeting a random Instagram stranger in Belgium and praying he wasn’t a serial killer. Spoiler alert: he wasn’t and I got the ticket. Success!

I’ve also interrogated basically everyone I’ve met at the festival about how they got their tickets (yes, I am that annoying) so now I basically have all the insider stories, tricks, lucky breaks, and “wait… that works?!” methods.

Let’s go. 🎶🔥

tomorrowland stage 2024

The Official Routes (According to Tomorrowland)

Tomorrowland has several ticket sales throughout the year. Exact dates change annually, but you can find them here. But here’s what they don’t tell you: There are WAY more routes to getting Tomorrowland tickets than what’s advertised on their official website. Lucky for you, I’m about to expose it all. 😎

NFT Sale – For Rich People and Time Travelers

The Deal:Tomorrowland has these special NFTs (because of course they do, it’s 2025 something and everything needs to be crypto-fied). If you own one, you get to buy Tomorrowland tickets before the peasants (aka everyone else).

The Reality: A few years ago, these NFTs cost around $300 for all 3 medallions. Now? We’re talking roughly $3,200+ So yes, this option is basically for rich people or those smart enough to buy them years ago when they were cheap.

tomorrowland for rich

My Take: Unless you’re either (a) genuinely wealthy, (b) bought these years ago when they were cheap and are now sitting pretty, or (c) have so much FOMO that financial responsibility is just a suggestion…skip this. There are cheaper ways.

Top 20 Per Country – The Quick Fingers Championship

The Deal: The first 20 people to pre-register from each country get early access to buy tickets before the official sale.

The Catch: You need the reflexes of a caffeinated squirrel. We’re talking seconds here. Plus, your country of residence matters. A LOT.

The Setup: Tomorrowland LOVES diversity. Like, they’re obsessed with it. Every year they brag about how many nationalities attend (and honestly, fair-it’s impressive). So here’s what they do: The first 20 people who pre-register from EACH country get a special invitation to buy Tomorrowland tickets before the official madness begins.

The Reality: This is where it gets spicy. When that pre-registration opens, you need to have the reflexes of a caffeinated squirrel on energy drinks. We’re talking SECONDS, not minutes. I’ve heard stories of people setting up multiple alarms, recruiting their entire family to click, treating it like a military operation. And honestly? That’s the right approach for securing those tickets.

tomorrowland top 20

The Strategy: If you’re from a “popular” Tomorrowland country (UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Romania, US), your chances are basically microscopic. There are literally thousands of people competing for those 20 spots.

If you’re from a less “popular” country your chances suddenly become INCREDIBLE. Think about it: Tomorrowland still gives 20 spots to countries with smaller populations or less festival culture. So if you’re from, let’s say Cyprus, Lithuania, Latvia, smaller African nations, parts of Asia, or anywhere that’s not swarming with EDM-obsessed festival-goers… congratulations, you just hit the geographic lottery.

If you get selected: They’ll email you with a special sale date and time. You can buy up to 4 tickets, and your friends don’t need to be from the same country. So if you’re from a small country and make that Top 20, you’re basically a ticket god.

Packages – The “Shut Up and Take My Money” Option

Alright, let’s talk about packages, specifically Global Journey and its cousins. This is the route I took for my first Tomorrowland, and honestly, it’s probably the most stress-free way to guarantee yourself a ticket.

The Deal: Before the official ticket bloodbath begins, Tomorrowland opens sales for various packages. These include transportation from your home country, accommodation in Belgium, and most importantly, a guaranteed festival ticket. No racing against bots, no refreshing pages until your fingers cramp, no existential crisis when you see “SOLD OUT” in 0.3 seconds.

The Pros:

  • No stress, no racing against bots
  • Ticket included in the package
  • Available for several days (not sold out in seconds)
  • Everything’s sorted: transport, accommodation, even extra parties

The Cons:

  • Significantly more expensive
  • You’re committing to their travel/accommodation setup

My Take: If you’re desperate for tickets, a first-timer, or just want everything handled for you, this is your best bet. I did Global Journey for my first time and honestly? No regrets (well, maybe some when I saw my bank statement). Check out my detailed Global Journey review here to see if it’s worth it for you.

Official Pre-Sale – The Hunger Games

The Deal: Limited tickets available to everyone.

The Reality: Sold out in literal seconds. You need the luck of a lottery winner and the internet speed of NASA.

My Success Rate: 0%. Zero. Zilch. Nada. I’ve tried multiple years. I’ve had good internet. I’ve been quick. It doesn’t matter.

People I Know Who’ve Succeeded: Also zero.

My Honest Opinion: The pre-sale is a beautiful lie. It’s technically real (tickets DO get sold) but the odds of YOU getting one are astronomical. I’m convinced the only people who succeed are either robots, hackers, or people with a direct line to the Tomorrowland servers.

Try if you want (what have you got to lose except your sanity?), but don’t count on it. Have a backup plan.

Worldwide Sale – Slightly Better Odds (But Not Really)

The Deal: More Tomorrowland tickets available than pre-sale, open to everyone globally.

The Reality: Still insanely competitive. You’re battling millions of people worldwide.

My Success Rate: Out of dozens of people I’ve asked, only 2 have successfully gotten tickets this way. So… yeah. Good luck with that.

tomorrowland official sale

My Honest Take: Try for it. You never know. Lightning might strike. But also, don’t put all your eggs in this basket. The disappointment when you see “SOLD OUT” after 30 min of waiting screens is… visceral. Have tissues ready. And maybe wine.

Leftovers Sale of Tomorrowland Tickets – The Secret April Drop

What Tomorrowland Says: [Literally nothing. They don’t advertise this.]

What Actually Happens: A small, secret sale of cancelled orders and failed payments.

The Catch:

  • Very limited quantity (we’re talking hundreds, not thousands)
  • Very late in the year (by April, you’ve already made or cancelled plans)
  • Still competitive (people who know about this secret are watching)

My Take: Don’t count on this as your primary strategy, but absolutely keep it on your radar if you’re still ticketless by spring.

The Unofficial Routes (AKA The Sketchy But Sometimes Necessary Options)

Okay, we’ve covered the “official” ways. Now let’s talk about the grey area, the methods that Tomorrowland doesn’t exactly endorse but also doesn’t completely condemn. This is where things get interesting, slightly risky and occasionally sketchy.

Viagogo – The Conspiracy Theory That’s Probably True

The Official Story: Viagogo is a third-party resale platform where people sell tickets they can’t use.

My Conspiracy Theory: Viagogo and Tomorrowland have some kind of arrangement, but they’re too shy to admit it.

Here’s Why I Think This:

  • Tomorrowland Tickets appear on Viagogo almost IMMEDIATELY after official sales end. Like, suspiciously fast. Within hours. How does that happen unless there’s some kind of agreement?
  • Tomorrowland has designated COUNTERS for Viagogo ticket holders at the festival. Let me repeat that: DESIGNATED. COUNTERS. If Viagogo were truly just some random resale site, why would Tomorrowland have special infrastructure for them?
  • The volume of tickets available is way too consistent year after year. It’s not random people here and there…it’s a steady supply.

My theory? Tomorrowland releases a batch of tickets to Viagogo to create a “premium” resale market while maintaining the illusion of scarcity for the main sales. They get to keep the official sales competitive and dramatic (good for hype) while also offering a backup option for people with money (good for profit).

strategy to get TML tickets

The Cost:Viagogo prices are… creative. They fluctuate more than my will to go to the gym.

  • Sometimes 50% more than official prices (not terrible)
  • Sometimes 600% more (highway robbery but for some still worth it)
  • Last-minute tickets for Weekend 2 tend to be especially brutal

The Pattern I’ve Noticed:

  • Prices start high right after official sales (people testing the market)
  • They sometimes dip in the middle months February-April (this is your window!)
  • They spike again as the festival approaches (desperation pricing kicks in)
  • Better announced lineups = higher prices
viagogo ticket tomorrowland

My Take: Look, I’m not saying use Viagogo. I’m just saying… it exists. It works. People use it. If if Tomorrowland is your dream festival, you have disposable income, and really can’t risk not getting tickets any other way, it’s a good alternative.

If I didn’t get Tomorrowland tickets through official sales or my international friends next time, Viagogo would probably be my go-to option.

Facebook Groups – Proceed With Extreme Caution

The Setup: There are dozens of Facebook groups dedicated to Tomorrowland where people buy, sell, and trade tickets.

The Appeal: Sometimes you find genuine people who really can’t go anymore: friend bailed, work conflict, family emergency, visa issues. They just want to recoup their costs and help out a fellow music lover.

The Reality: Also a LOT of scams. Like, a concerning amount.

My Safety Rules If You Go This Route:

  1. Meet in person if humanly possible. Even if you have to take a train to another city. Do it. Physical meeting = safer transaction.
  2. Only exchange money when you see the ticket. And I mean REALLY see it. Check the QR code, the name, the details. Don’t just glance at a screenshot.
  3. Use PayPal Goods & Services if you must do it online. Yes, there’s a fee. Pay it. That fee buys you protection. Friends & Family has ZERO buyer protection. Zero.
  4. Trust your gut. If something feels off, if they’re being weird, if they’re pressuring you, -walk away.
  5. Check their profile. Real person? Active history? Mutual friends? Photos from past festivals? Good signs. Brand new profile with zero activity? RUN.
  6. Get everything in writing. Screenshots of conversations. Confirmation of details. Trail of evidence.

Important Note: In my 4 times attending Tomorrowland, they have NEVER checked if the ID matches the ticket name. Not once. They scan your bracelet, you walk in. That’s it.

By The Gates – The Hail Mary Prayer Strategy

The Deal: People literally stand outside the festival entrance with “I’ll Buy Tomorrowland Ticket” signs.

The Reality: This happens every year. Some people also put banners on their DreamVille tents searching for tickets.

will buy tomorrowland tickets sign

The Risk Factor:

  • You might not find a ticket
  • You’re already in Belgium with accommodation booked
  • You’re surrounded by people enjoying the festival while you’re… not
  • Emotional damage: significant

When This Makes Sense:

  • You live nearby
  • You’re flexible with dates (Weekend 1 vs Weekend 2)
  • You’re comfortable with last-minute decisions
  • You’ve got a backup plan (enjoy Brussels? Hit up other Belgian festivals?)

When This Is a Terrible Idea:

  • You’ve flown halfway across the world
  • This is your only vacation
  • You’ve been planning this for months
  • Your emotional stability depends on getting in

My Take: This could work if you live in Belgium or somewhere close where the travel cost isn’t massive. You could book a cheap flight or train to Brussels, show up on Day 1, try your luck at the gates and maybe score a ticket at face value or slightly above .But flying all the way from Asia, America, Australia without a guaranteed ticket? That’s a level of chaos and risk-taking that I personally cannot endorse. But hey, if you’re brave (or reckless), go for it.

My Actual Tomorrowland Tickets Battle Plan

Getting Tomorrowland tickets is part strategy, part luck, and part willingness to throw money at the problem. But it’s absolutely possible. Let me give you my actual game plan, the exact strategy I use and recommend:

  1. Pre-register for the Top 20 list
Costs nothing, takes 5 seconds, and massively boosts your chances. Just do it.
  2. Get your international friends to pre-register too
More countries = more chances. This is the closest thing to legal cheating. (Promise them beer money, bribe them, offer to help them with something, make it worth their time.)
  3. Set alarms for every official sale. Not one, at least three for each. Plus calendar alerts 1 week before, 1 day before, 1 hour before.
  4. Shoot your shot
Seriously, just try. You lose nothing, and people do get lucky. Sometimes the ticket gods are kind. Also have your payment info ready. Test your internet speed. Clear your browser cache. Be logged in 10 minutes early. Have backup devices ready (laptop AND phone). Treat it like a military operation.
  5. Consider packages if you want guaranteed entry
They’re pricier, yes… but they’re also stress-free and super reliable.
  6. Explore all the alternatives + resale options
There are more routes into Tomorrowland than people think. Don’t treat the main sale like the only door.
  7. Never. Ever. Give. Up.
I’ve met so many people who dreamed of Tomorrowland but quit after missing one sale.
Don’t be that person. There are so many backup routes that still work, even if the official sale hates you.
If Tomorrowland is your dream, treat it like one. Dreams require persistence. There are MULTIPLE routes into this festival. If the official sale hates you (and it probably will), you still have other options to try.

My Personal Journey of Tomorrowland Tickets (aka Proof This Actually Works)

1st Time: Global Journey package. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Also yes. Read my full review here.

2nd Time: Random Instagram guy. I found someone in the comments saying his friend couldn’t go. We agreed to meet in Belgium before the festival. Could’ve been a scam. Could’ve been murdered. Instead, got a legit ticket and the guy was super hot. I call that a win.

3rd Time: My Lithuanian friend made Top 20 and bought me a ticket. Shoutout to international friendships!

4th Time: Another friend from Tunisia made Top 20 and snagged me a ticket.

5th Time (2026): To Be Confirmed… but I’m confident. 😎

Final Thoughts (And a Pep Talk)

Listen, getting Tomorrowland tickets is genuinely hard. It’s stressful. It’s frustrating. You’ll question why you’re putting yourself through this for a music festival. There will be moments of despair when you see “SOLD OUT” for the fifth time.

But here’s the thing: it’s absolutely possible.

And when you finally standing there, bracelet on your wrist, surrounded by people from 200+ countries, experiencing the magic for yourself? You’ll understand why everyone says it’s worth the fight.

Good luck, future People of Tomorrow! Now go forth and conquer the ticket battlefield. 🎉

TravelsOverKids About me Childfree Blog

Hello!

My name is Kinga 👋🏻 I’m 30 years old, originally from Poland.

I studied tourism and worked in a travel agency, which means I know exactly how airlines price tickets, when to book for maximum savings, and all the “insider secrets” they hope you never figure out.

I used these tricks to travel 1-2 times every month while working a normal corporate job in the UK. (My coworkers thought I had rich parents or a sugar daddy😂)

Then in November 2024, I quit everything to travel full-time. I’ve been doing this for over a year now and I’ve tested every hack, made every mistake, learned what works and what’s total BS.
